With the inspiring slogan “Say No to Cheating, Build the Nation with Firm Determination”, the Junior Scholarship Examination–2025 is being held in Chitalmari upazila of Bagerhat district.
This year, a total of 371 students from 32 educational institutions of Chitalmari upazila are participating in the examination at the Chitalmari Government S.M. Model High School examination center. Among them are 134 male students and 237 female students, reflecting a positive trend of increased participation of girls in education.
The third day of the examination was held on Tuesday (December 30). During a visit to the examination center, the Center Secretary and Headmaster of Chitalmari Government S.M. Model High School, Mr. Tapash Kumar Khan, stated, “The examination is being conducted in a calm, disciplined, and completely cheat-free environment. No untoward incidents or disruptions have occurred so far.”
He further added that due to the ongoing severe cold wave, several students fell ill. As a result, a total of 22 examinees were absent over the past two days, including 6 boys and 16 girls. Despite adverse weather conditions, the presence of most students demonstrates their strong commitment to education and determination to succeed.
During the inspection, it was observed that the overall environment of the examination center was clean, orderly, safe, and student-friendly. The teachers and staff on duty were highly responsible, cooperative, and compassionate. Special care was taken considering the cold weather, while guardians also extended their full cooperation to ensure a peaceful atmosphere.
Guardians expressed satisfaction with the disciplined management of the examination. They believe that such transparent and fair examinations enhance students’ confidence and play a vital role in shaping their academic future. They also hope that meritorious students will receive scholarships that will motivate them to continue their studies with greater enthusiasm.
Educationists and conscious citizens opined that the Junior Scholarship Examination is not merely a competitive test but an effective platform for nurturing talent, honesty, discipline, and moral values among students. Instilling anti-cheating awareness at an early stage helps create responsible citizens capable of contributing positively to society and the nation.
It is widely expected that today’s students will emerge as the architects of a knowledgeable, ethical, and prosperous Bangladesh in the future.
